A 2013 paper which introduces the notion of Just Grids to reflect the need for power systems to contribute towards equitable and inclusive global, economic and social development. It presents the concept of Smart and Just Grids, and considers specific priorities that could usefully be implemented in sub‐Saharan Africa in the short‐term. It reviews the literature, provides a foundation for policy development, and suggests areas for further, more detailed research.

A June 2013 study by the United States Government Accountability Office of funds provided to the U.S. Department of Labor for "green jobs", highlighting what is known about the objectives and coordination of Labor’s green jobs efforts; what type of green jobs training grantees provided and how selected grantees aligned their training to meet employers’ green jobs needs; what is known about program outcomes and what challenges, if any, grantees faced in implementing their programs; and what the Department of Labor has done to assist and monitor its green jobs grantees.
