This is the fifth edition of the report from the European Commission. This 2022 edition continues to "analyse the scope and size of the Blue Economy in the European Union. It aims at providing support to policymakers and stakeholders in the quest for a sustainable development of oceans, coastal resources and, most notably, to the development and implementation of polices and initiatives under the European Green Deal in line with the new approach for a sustainable Blue Economy."

This table from January 2020 outlines the Just Transition Mechanism allocation for the European Commission pursuant to the Amended proposal for the Just Transition Fund which "will provide support to all EU Member States, while concentrating on those territories and regions where the magnitude of the climate transition is larger."

The April 2021 report form the Danish government "As a response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Danish government and Parliament have adopted a number of comprehensive green deals that will kick-start the Danish econ- omy and accelerate the green transition. Den- mark’s Recovery and Resilience Plan will se- cure a large part of the financing for these green deals and will thus first and foremost support massive investments that will acceler- ate the green transition. The investments will both stimulate the growth of a more green economy and support jobs and companies. At the same time, the plan contributes to re- alising Denmark’s ambitious climate targets on reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 70 per cent in 2030.
